Code of Conduct
The WA Wedding Association is a member-led organisation that represents our members’ interests and supports, grows, and develops the Wedding Industry in Western Australia through innovation, training, and advocacy.
As such, all members, affiliates and office bearers are bound by the following Code of Conduct.
1. To follow all policies, procedures and rules of the Association;
2. Office Bearers and Executive Committee members are expected to attend 75 per cent of meetings, unless exceptional circumstances have been recognised by the remaining Executive Committee.
3. Financial Members (via the Primary Representative for a Business) may attend any General Meeting, but are not obliged to do so.
4. Only the President may speak on behalf of the Association, or in the President’s absence, the Vice President. The President or Vice President may nominate any other Financial Member to speak on behalf of the Association on a case-by-case basis.
5. All members, including Affiliates and Secondary Representatives, must maintain personal and professional confidentiality for matters relating to the Association.
6. It is expected that all Financial Members, including Affiliates, Secondary Representatives and guests, conduct themselves in a manner that is respectful of the Association, fellow members and the general public.
7. The Association is proudly inclusive, welcomes diversity and values positive relationships between members and stakeholders. Abusive behaviour, including verbal, physical or sexual abuse, will not be tolerated.
Breaches of the Code of Conduct should be reported to any member of the Executive Committee. If proven, the member may be suspended or expelled in accordance with section 9.0 of the Association’s Constitution.
